Supporting Your Clients Through Life’s Most Complex Financial Transitions
Enhance Your Divorce Practice with Specialized Financial Expertise
A Collaborative Resource for Family Law Attorneys
As a divorce attorney, your clients look to you for guidance and protection during one of life’s most difficult transitions. In high-net-worth cases, however, complex financial issues ranging from business valuations and stock options to trusts, retirement accounts, and multi-property portfolios demand more than legal expertise alone. These complexities demand more than general advice; they require specialized financial insight.
Partnering with Erin Tatham, CFP®, CDFA® provides an added layer of strategic insight. Erin delivers the specialized financial analysis needed to achieve equitable, tax-sensitive, and sustainable settlements. Her expertise helps to ensure every financial angle is considered, giving you the confidence that nothing is overlooked and your clients are positioned for long-term security.
A Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® practitioner works alongside attorneys and their clients to provide clear guidance throughout the divorce process.
A Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® professional provides the expertise to untangle intricate financial holdings and identify how each asset impacts your long-term wealth strategy. From private equity interestes to deferred compensation packages, your clients will gain clear visibility into how settlement options align with their overall financial picture.
High-net-worth settlements must look beyond immediate liquidity. As a CDFA® professional, Erin models the long-term impact of various scenarios on cash flow, investment growth and legacy planning. This forward-looking perspective ensures that decisions made today are enough to sustain your client’s lifestyle and family priorities for decades to come.
For affluent families, the difference between an adequate settlement and a strategic one often lies in tax efficiency. A CDFA® professional helps structure solutions that minimize tax liabilities and preserve wealth—whether through thoughtful asset division, charitable planning considerations, or optimized retirement distributions.
As a Certified Financial Planner™, Erin will continue guiding clients and help them achieve their financial goals even after the divorce is finalized.
Divorce negotiations often involve multiple advisors, attorneys, and business stakeholders. Having a CDFA® practitioner on your team provides credibility and an added layer of financial objectivity. You gain confidence that every decision is grounded in analysis, not emotion, and backed by a strategy designed to safeguard your client’s wealth.
